Main Characters

Kailani of West Shore

Kailani of West Shore

Status: Royal
Kailani is generally a happy individual with a keen sense of curiosity. She is also very self-conscious and can become nervous very swiftly when thrown out of her comfort zone. She is not necessarily shy, though, and enjoys talking with people so long as they don't treat her oddly.

Kailani is a rare hybrid between an Ambivian and a Lanive. She was predicted to not survive into adulthood, but has thus far proven those odds wrong. Her purpose in the Selection is one of mystery to even herself.

Lord Federico of Concord Hill

Lord Federico of Concord Hill

Status: Royal (Appointed)
Lord Federico, a legalized immigrant to Prodigus, is quiet and aloof, not revealing too much about himself to anyone. He comes across very level-headed and calm and is an exceptionally good listener. In fact, he would choose to not speak at all if he really had a choice. He is note-worthy for being appointed Royal status after impressing the late Queen Vilthuril. He was born with the condition Pituitary Gigantism, which resulted in excessive growth and height in his youth.

Tanner of West Shore

Tanner of West Shore

Status: Royal
Stubborn and eccentric, Tanner is constantly causing trouble for his family due to his overboard "conspiracy theories". Rarely do people take him seriously, but it doesn't seem to stop him. He cares deeply about his family, and is especially protective of his sister, Kailani.

Jenelle of West Shore

Jenelle of West Shore

Status: Royal
Pessimistic and sarcastic, Jenelle is the first to tell someone they're being idiotic (especially Tanner). She could care less what happens so long as it doesn't involve her. At the same time, she'll be the first to bail her siblings out of trouble.

Jaqueline "Jacky" of West Shore

Jaqueline "Jacky" of West Shore

Status: Royal
Jacky cares a lot about her self-image and lusts after the fame and riches of the higher royalty. Her status means a lot to her, but so does her family; at the end of the day, she still puts her cares to them first. Mostly.

Brandon of West Shore

Brandon of West Shore

Status: Royal
The youngest of the adult siblings, Brandon is considered the "baby" and is well loved by them. He is shy and does not speak out much, but he is extremely smart and has an adoration for mechanical engineering. He also secretly really loves space.

Minor Characters

Vernil of Valor Point

Vernil of Valor Point

Status: Commoner (Immigrant)
The dedicated housekeeper of Lord Federico's palace, Vernil is respected by everyone for her calm demeanor. She and the Lord have grown close over the years and he trusts her more than anyone.

Bluebell of Sandglow Meadow

Bluebell of Sandglow Meadow

Status: Commoner (Immigrant)
While just the meager chauffer, Bluebell is adored by the palace staff for her kindness and innocence. There is little that can keep her down and she loves to makes friends with just about anyone.

"The Triplets" of Brandlewood

"The Triplets" of Brandlewood

Status: Commoners
Known collectively as "the Triplets" they consist of Ayden (pink), Ezree (blue), and Luci (green). They are typical kits, causing chaos and exhaustion wherever they go. They are the latest children adopted by Finnie.

Finnie of Ruby Run

Finnie of Ruby Run

Status: Commoner
The adopted mother of the main siblings, Finnie is a devoted caregiver and has raised more children in her lifetime than she can count. Extremely joyful (scarily so at times) she is also very stubborn and believes her way is the best way (it's never gone wrong before, after all).

Queen Matieka of West Shore

Queen Matieka of West Shore

Status: Royal
Queen Matieka comes off as cold and blunt and she could really care less if people are bothered by that. She has a duty to her country of Prodigus and she will not let anyone stand in her way.

Reuben of Gainsborough

Reuben of Gainsborough

Status: Royal
A childhood peer of the main siblings, Reuben's relationship with them is... contentious. Borderline bully, he will not hesitate to let them know he is of better blood and in society's eyes, that's really all that matters.
